Preview, segments and expiration
Read the preview, choose visible units and decide what appears after the deadline.
Live preview
Changes regenerate the preview asynchronously. Wait for Regenerating... to finish before judging the final design. The preview uses a private rendering path and does not add billable views.
List thumbnails intentionally show one frame. The editor and information page can show an animated preview. A still list thumbnail is not evidence that the public timer is broken.
If no image appears, first wait for regeneration and check the entered values. A failed preview can also mean the rendering service is unavailable. Do not send a campaign until the public image has been tested.
Show segments
The Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds switches control which units are visible. An enabled switch shows that unit.
The shortcuts below Preview appear only when there is enough room. The same switches remain available in More settings > Show segments. These are presentation settings, not a way to shorten the countdown.
Event Expired
Show zeros
The timer reaches its zero state instead of displaying an expiration message.
Show message
Replace the countdown with text. The additional controls are:
- Message: the text to show, for example "Offer expired".
- Text color: the message color override.
- Size (px): message size; empty uses automatic sizing.
The editor displays a separate expired-message preview below the normal image. Your custom message is not automatically translated by Language.
Hide timer
The editor offers Hide timer and a Save dimensions switch. Their intended purpose is to return an empty image after expiration, optionally preserving the image footprint.
Current limitation: the rendering service does not yet implement this mode or the Save dimensions flag. Do not rely on them to hide an expired campaign timer; the renderer can continue showing the countdown's expired state. Use Show zeros or Show message for a supported result.
Even with a future hiding implementation, the surrounding email HTML and mailbox caches would need separate testing. An image setting cannot remove the email's table or guarantee removal of cached content.
Expiration is not quota stopping
A timer can become a single frame because the team's view allowance is exhausted under the Free or scheduled-cancellation rules. That is different from reaching its deadline. Changing the expired message will not remove a quota stop.
See views and usage for the distinction.
