A few good questions

Before you hit send.

A few things to know about putting a countdown in your next email.

Talk to us
How does an email countdown work?

Your timer is an animated image loaded from its URL. When an email client requests the image, the service generates the countdown for your deadline. Email caching can affect when the image is refreshed.

Can I use it with my email platform?

You can add a timer wherever your email builder accepts a hosted image URL or an HTML image block. Email apps handle animation differently; some Outlook versions show only the first frame. Always test in the email clients your audience uses.

What is included in the free plan?

The free plan includes unlimited timers and 30,000 timer views per 30-day usage period. You can create an account without a credit card and upgrade when you need a larger allowance.

What happens when the countdown ends?

Choose the expiration behavior in the timer editor, including an expired message. A timed-out offer stays clear to readers who open the email later.

What counts as a timer view?

A view is counted when a public timer image request is recorded by our analytics. Editor previews do not count. Views are not the same as unique readers or emails sent: repeat requests and email-provider caching can affect totals.

What about Apple Mail and image caching?

Some email clients prefetch or cache remote images, including when privacy protection is enabled. This can affect the time shown and the recorded views. Pair your countdown with the written end date and test before sending.
